(businesspress24) - NEW YORK, NY -- (Marketwired) -- 04/29/16 -- On May 3rd at the 49th Annual Meeting of the Asian Development Bank, and are launching the Youth Speak Survey Preliminary Findings, featuring 160,227 responses from youth globally and 57,959 from youth in Asia Pacific. , run by AIESEC, is a global insight survey created by youth for youth, designed to understand what young people care about and how they would like to be engaged in the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals.

Launched on October 9th 2015, YouthSpeak Survey aims to capture opinions of as many young people as possible worldwide to answer the question - How to engage Millennials to take action? The survey features questions such as:

Do you believe that the world will be in a better or worse state by 2030?

Which issue are you most passionate about?

If you could be paid for anything, what would you do?

Who has the strongest ability to influence society?

According to the YouthSpeak Survey, young people see the world in a better place, demonstrating confidence in the power of youth to influence society. Quality Education (SDG 4), No Poverty (SDG 1) and Good Health and Well-Being (SDG 3) are the global goals that majority of the respondents care about the most. YouthSpeak Survey shows us that young people are interested in state of the world and ready to act upon it, but they need support from the government, private sector, civil society, academic institutions and media. Providing young people with more experiential learning opportunities and ensuring their participation in decision-making processes could be the catalyst for the youth movement for positive change.

ADB''s NGO and Civil Society Center Head Chris Morris underscores the importance of cross-sector collaboration in mobilizing youth. "The partnership between ADB and AIESEC is a milestone for ADB in engaging youth in the development agenda. We at ADB Youth for Asia are proud to launch AIESEC''s YouthSpeak Survey at ADB''s Annual Meeting as we are engaged with AIESEC in mobilizing the youth of Asia and the Pacific to take actions which contribute to the achievement of the SDGs," he remarks.

The insights from the YouthSpeak Survey inspired AIESEC and its partners including Asian Development Bank, PVBLIC Foundation, UN Habitat, and Plan International to launch the campaign (#Youth4GG) that aims to mobilize as many young people as possible around the world to contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals. The campaign has been featured widely, including 2,000 screens in Malaysia and the Digital Tower at Bukit Bintang in Kuala Lumpur, and has already mobilized hundreds of young people to take action on issues that matter to them, in order to positively impact societies.

Ana Saldarriaga, Global President of AIESEC International, has previously remarked "The world doesn''t change with our voice but with our actions. However, a collective youth voice can shape actions of thousands of people across the world. So let''s ensure that this single action of making your opinion be heard can unleash a global youth movement."
