(PresseBox) - The "Simple-Flex" series from JAKOB Antriebstechnik is a novel, innovative distance coupling that can be manufactured up to 6m in length and requires no additional intermediate support. An ingenious composite tube with a multi-layer, angle-specific fiber configuration allows for a particularly simple design that works without the otherwise necessary coupling compensation elements on the two tube ends. With elaborate simulation calculations and test series, this composite tubing has been developed which has both flexural flexibility and high torsional rigidity. The very low weight and the associated low moments of inertia can guarantee the highest operating speeds and torques with excellent smoothness, without neglecting the compensation of shaft misalignments.

"Simple-Flex" is available with either rotationally symmetrical cone clamping ring clamping or with assembly-friendly splitted hub design. The two available composite pipe sizes cover torque ranges up to 1000Nm.
